According to figures released by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (YPEKA) water quality in 95% of Greek bathing coastal is excellent.

CoastS have always been a hallmark of Greece. The good news is that the natural beauty of the coast accompanied by clear water. This is confirmed by the statistics of the chemical analysis of the Ministry of Environment, according which 95% of Greek bathing coastal (ie 2,034 beaches) are characterized by excellent water quality.

In addition to monitoring water quality the ministry is proceeding with the register of Greek costs identity in order their environmental situation and organization to be routinely monitored. The records will be posted by the municipalities on the Internet, where bathers can comment on the quality of each beach.
